Fragments, 2024 Color Exhibition, Design Museum Holon
The RGB color model, used in computer and television screens, is based on a grid of red, green, and blue lights that combine to create millions of shades. I found a connection between this digital system and the craft of textile weaving, where variations emerge through the interplay of thread density and relationships, resulting in infinite gradations.
Each work consists of three layers of semi-transparent polyester, printed with fragments of color. The layered images, resembling a mosaic or digital pixels, create a vibrant optical phenomenon. By combining the RGB color model with textile-inspired layering, I brought together digital and analog techniques, blending technology and tradition. The work was printed at Toptex Textile, Petach Tikva.
